Blopress is used for the treatment of arterial hypertension. This drug has already received many positive feedbacks from the patients.
PRINCIPLE OF ACTION
This drug contributes to the blocking of АТ1-receptors, which allows reducing the biological effect of Angiotensin II, including the vasoconstrictor action that affects the production of aldosterone, regulation of water-salt homeostasis and the stimulation of cellular growth. The uniqueness of this drug is that it doesn’t affect the receptors of other hormones, important for regulating different cardiovascular system functions.
WAY OF USE AND DOSAGE
This drug must be taken only once a day. The initial dosage is 4 mg, maintaining- 8 mg, and maximum- 16 mg. The patients with liver and kidney dysfunction must start the treatment with 2 mg.

Note that in the patients with ischemic cardiopathy, the sharp drop in blood pressure can cause myocardial infarction and stroke. Before starting the treatment, you should restore the water-electrolyte balance.
Interaction with the other drugs

The use of this drug increases the lithium levels are, which increases the risk of intoxication. The combination with diuretics or blood pressure medications leads to arterial hypotension (stable low blood pressure). The combination of Blopress with digoxin, enalapril, warfarin, oral contraceptives, nifedipine, hydrochlorothiazide and glibenclamide caused no negative reactions.
The patients with hemodynamic disorder must be cautious when taking this drug. The patients with kidney diseases must get their blood creatinine tested from time to time.
