Mode of application
Gyne-lotrimin cream is applied by a thin layer three times a day on the affected skin area of the fungus. Duration of treatment is 1 month. The success of therapy largely depends on the regularity of the application of the ointment. Vaginal tablets are injected into the vagina daily for 3 days.
The anti-fungal agent clotrimazole has a few contraindications. It is not recommended to use the drug for individual immunity of the ingredients that make up its basis, as well as for women during pregnancy (especially in the first trimester) and breastfeeding of the baby. Vaginal tablets, of course, should not be used during menstruation.
The side effects that the drug Gyne-lotrimin can cause, mainly manifested in the form of allergic reactions. The skin can respond with irritation, a burning sensation, erythematous rashes, a sensitivity disorder (paresthesia). When using vaginal tablets, there may be discharge from the vagina, swelling and hyperemia of the mucous membranes. In such cases it is necessary to stop treatment and consult a doctor.

Instruction for use recommends that, in order to avoid infection with a fungus infection of a loved one, treat both sexual partners. With care this medication is appointed to people suffering from hepatic failure.
