Lopressor HCT is a drug that is used when you want to reduce the load on the heart muscle, lowering blood pressure. The active ingredient of the same name is the basis of drugs, such as Egilok, Vasocardin, Betaloс, and so on. The drug should not be taken by patients with heart failure, sinoatrial blockade, with severe sinus bradycardia, cardiogenic shock, pregnancy, breastfeeding, patients with disturbed peripheral blood circulation.

Anti-arrhythmic and anesthetic medications increase the likelihood of development of bradycardia, hypotension, arrhythmia. Digitalis provoke the slowing of AV conduction.

If you take verapamil and diltiazem at the same time, there is a risk of cardiac arrest. Cocaine, estrogens, theophylline, beta-agonists attenuate the antihypertensive effect.

If the medication is combined with alcohol, there is a depressant effect on the central nervous system. When the drug is combined with allergens, you can have an allergic reaction or anaphylaxis, it can increase the likelihood of hypoglycemia. The drug is incompatible with MAO inhibitors of type A.

In case of overdose there is a risk of damage to arterial hypotension, you can also suffer from acute heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest.  You may also suffer from vomiting and general deterioration of health, bronchospasm, disorder of consciousness, coma, cyanosis.
