Drug Description

Vasodilan (the brand name of which is Isoxsuprine) is a vasodilator allowing you to relax and widen certain blood vessels to improve the blood flow throughout the body. Vasodilan also includes some other inactive ingredient except for isoxsuprine.


Vasodilan is used to improve the blood supply to certain body parts. The insufficient blood flow may be caused by certain blood vessel diseases, such as Buerger’s disease, cerebral vascular disease, Raynaud’s disease and arteriosclerosis. By dilating the blood vessels and maintaining a normal blood pressure, Vasodilan allows you to treat the above-mentioned illnesses.
In addition, Vasodilan can reduce numbness, cold and slight tingle. The drug comes in brand and generic versions.


Vasodilan is taken by mouth. It comes in compresses tablets in the dosages of 10 and 20 mg. Depending on the severity of your diseases, you must take 3 or 4 dosages a day. Stick the doctor’s prescriptions to achieve the maximum effect.

Take the drug on a regular basis to achieve the maximum effect. However, Vasodilan must not be used by patients with arterial hemorrhage and women after delivery.

Adverse effects

As any prescription drug, Vasodilan also has some adverse effects and must be used with caution. As the drug is used in low dosages, it doesn’t cause any common adverse effects. However, it has some serious adverse effects that happen rarely. The serious adverse effects of Vasodilan include allergic reactions, breast pain, irregular heart rate and vertigo. As the drug can cause serious dizziness, you must avoid operating dangerous machinery.
