AIMS Structured Master’s Program in Mathematical Sciences 2024-5 / Cooperative Education Master’s 2024-6

The AIMS Cooperative Education Master’s Program is an 18-month Master’s Program specializing in a specific domain of applied mathematical sciences. This program is conducted at AIMS centers in Senegal, Cameroon, and Rwanda.

This application portal serves both the Regular Structured Master’s Program in South Africa, Senegal, Ghana, Cameroon, and Rwanda, as well as the Cooperative Education Master’s Program (Co-op program) in Cameroon, Senegal, and Rwanda.

The Regular Structured Master’s Program spans three semesters. The AIMS course begins with a requisite skills phase, focusing on building a standard core set of problem-solving skills, including estimation, computation, approximation, modeling, data analysis, and statistics. In the elective review phase, students have the opportunity to apply these skills in various exciting areas of science. The final phase involves a research project, where students, under the guidance of an expert researcher, conduct research on a topic of their choice and subsequently write a scientific report. Many projects initiated during this phase lead to further postgraduate research work after the completion of the AIMS program.
